Monthly Make - February #1

I have decided to make Jenny's cute Bounding Bunnypins for the children's Easter gifts this year. I have to admit cutting them out is rather a fiddly job and while I was cutting this week I thought how lovely it would be if there was a die for the shape. And from that thought came these little felt brooches/clips. I went through my Papertrey and Cuttlebug dies and cut out some suitable shapes, decorated them with fabric, embroidery silks and buttons, and attached some findings.
I've also started to think about packaging them up - a favourite bit for me. I'm hoping to do a craft fair some time in the summer and need to build up some stock. Don't hold me to that - I probably won't be organised enough to get myself to one!
One more photo I can't help myself from posting for any birdy people reading this. I love this image I managed to get of a Nuthatch in the garden this week. He's so sweet!

  1. your felt pieces are awesome!! love seeing these bird pictures too!

  2. What adorable little pins! Love the pink bunny and purple heart. All the little projects are so pretty. I agree with you that a die for the bunny would be perfect. Thanks for sharing your 'spring' photos. Love all the birds that visit your part of the world. Have a good day!

  3. Ann these pieces are just lovely and will be treasured long after chcolate has been eaten. Did you read that I had left an award for you on my blog? If you would like it you can find it at

    Carol x

  4. These are so sweet and I especially love that bunny! You have a lot of patience to do all that hand stitching, I love the look but rarely take the time to do it myself.

  5. Ann, those pins are FABULOUS! I love them soooo much! I cannot believe these are hand-stitched! And thanks for showing us that cute nuthatch - I can stare at birdies all day long. :) Theresa

  6. oooh these are sooo sweet-how lovely and dinky they all look and such neat stitching.
so proud of myself as I guessed it was a nuthatch before I read your words!

  7. Ann these are delightful! Just beautiful! I have a little something for you on my blog today xx

  8. The Bunnies are great and love the packaging too.
Also a belated thank you for the electronic
valentine. Would love to visit your stall at a craft fair.

  9. Ann these are darling gifts! You always create the sweetest things!

  10. What lovely things you make girl!!! The Easter things are beautiful.......keep going and you'll fill that craft fair table...been there done that etc...loved every minute of it when things sold!! Disheartening when they don't but great fun.
Love that bird...haven't ever seen one of those. It was so cold here today the birds were once again keen on eating all through the day. We had sleet aplenty. Forsythia is out and the daffs are showing the beginning of their colours but the wind has been so awful they've got a good bashing about. DH says he should have had them tied up a bit to protect them...but then it is March, longer evenings and all of that!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment - its hugely appreciated. Ann :o)
