My spices are a mixture of cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaves and star anise crushed a bit with a pair of pliers to release their wonderful fragrance - so Christmassy, I wish you could smell it. Some old buttons, bells and felt beads add the finishing touches along with die cut felt shapes. It all came together really well so thanks so much Emily for organising the perfect swap for me. Hope we can do it again next year.
Ann they look fantastic, well done, I've briefly looked at mine and put them in the cupboard, far too busy to think let alone do something with them! I am inspired and might even get them out with my little girls today and make a plan. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh Anne these are gorgeous and I can imagine the aroma just from your description. I love the felt, buttons and bells. Christmas wrapped up in a beautiful package!

Ann you have been sew busy. These are all adorable. My squares have had to be put to one side due to illness and another rush job. Hope to get back to them next week. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteLovely work as always.
ReplyDeleteThey look so lovely, the fabric and yarncombinations are so well chosen. What a lovely idea this swap!
ReplyDeleteOh, Ann!
ReplyDeleteThese are such great treats to my eyes. Wish I could smell them, too! But I'm sure they are heavenly.
Oh Ann, these are just darling! I think I might have to have a go at this yummy sounding mix of aromas! To answer your question the hershey nuggets are available in ASDA, I must say I think they taste horrid though! but they are pretty and great to alter! So swings and roundabouts I suppose ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting while I was away, Paris was fab, more details soon
Hugs xx
I LOVE these, Ann!! Had to PIN the top picture, I'd like to "attempt" to make the birds and squares, do you know if there are instructions/patterns somewhere that could help me figure it out?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely!!!! I love your mix of spices...so aromatic!
ReplyDeleteAll your items look fabulous! It must have been so exciting when all your little squares arrived!
ReplyDeleteThese all look fab Ann, well done on using the fabric, I am afraid I would be hoarding it!
